We have all experienced the angry shouty parent. Sometimes it’s us, sometimes it’s others. This often leaves both children any presents unhappy and often moves is further away from the positive outcomes we dream of reaching (I still maintain that those quiet, well behaved children are paid actors).
Learning to be a calm parent helps you make better parental decisions and ultimately helps make you a better parent.
Parenting problems can be seen as repeating patterns covering a set of familiar scenarios.
Having the mindset to be able to stay calm in all scenarios will mean better judgement every time leading to better decisions.
Common parenting scenarios include:
- Blame game
- Dad Vs kids / daddy day care
- Subordinate mum/dad
- Time control.
